Hello Gorgeous ♡
And welcome to the most wonderful time of the year, December. You know the time of year where cheer is spread for all to hear and sugar plum faries dance above your heads. The time of year that we attend countless themed parties from ugly sweater parties to upscale glam with the constant question of what to wear? Well, today I had the pleasure of attending my first holiday party of the year, where the attire was dressy or as I like to say a ticket to take a trip to the glam factory. I felt wonderful today as I took the time to get all dolled up, which is a rarity as I work from home these days (asides my weekly modeling sessions). Today, I went a little more "hollywood" classic glam and also slightly looked like a walking Sephora.. which is also glamorous. Who's with me? So, in short here's a list of total "do's" for this glam party holiday season.
1) Where what makes YOU feel good.
2) Red lipstick, seriously it was invented for this time of year. Be sure to match it to the tone of red you have in your attire. Don't wanna be "clashing through the snow." I'm rocking a Kat Von D lipstick combo in this photo. The liquid lipsticks even stay on during your meal(s).
3) I love to rock big bold curls, but again what makes you feel sexy? Where your favorite style and one you know photographs well on you.
4) Be SAVVY. I scored this nearly $100 dress for ONLY $10.50 at JCP. Coupons and discounts, are essential as I am a barganista. Besides, this time of year gets expensive. So, shop sales and I suggest downloading the Retail Me Not app. Genuis. Also, shop at stores with a rewards program. JCP pays me to shop with them...so, why not?! I shop constantly, but never pay full price. A few of my favorite stores are; Flourish Boutique, Target, Ross, JCP, H & M, and basically anywhere with a clearance section.
5) Dress for your comfort, future events, and style. I personally am all about makeup. I also am in love with Hollywood glamour, classic beauty, and anything to flatter my body shape. This dress fit all those things! To much dinner? Can't tell I have a "food baby" as the waist flares out making it glam and comfy. I mean, this is the time of year to binge out on those home made sugar cookies and stuffing. Bring on the good stuff. I also feel the length is totally appropriate for any occasion and not an annoying length I have to "keep checking" I can just go along my regular routine of eating, drinking, and being "Merry."
6. Be Practical. If you buy a new piece make it wearable. I mean, you probably have 5 weddings you know about happening in the next year, save yourself some time and money buy classic. I always buy simply and add jewels, makeup, and shoes. Trust me those things can and will change an entire look.
7. Winged liner and false lashes for me are essential. Besides, paired with a red lip reads Christmas glam and together photographs so so well. Afterall, memories are processed into photos; prepare ♡
Of course these are simple, fun, guidelines to follow if you're having a hard time finding an outfit to wear. Just know you're a shining star and whatever you feel good in will be perfect. So go ahead and go get your glam on & let's rock around the Christmas tree.
